Notice is hereby given that a Township Election in the Town of Vermillion, Dakota County, will be held on March 10, 2026.
Affidavit of Candidacy may be filed with the Town Clerk from December 30, 2025 through January 13, 2026 for the offices of:
One Supervisor for a 3-year term
One Clerk for a 2-year term
Filing can be arranged by calling or emailing the Town Clerk at the number or email listed below.
In person filing will be available on January 13, 2026 from 1 - 5pm at: 6590 170th Street East, Hastings, MN 55033.

ORDINANCE 25-005
AMENDING THE TOWN’S ZONING MAP TO REZONE PROPERTY AT
18190 FISCHER AVENUE INTO THE MINING OVERLAY DISTRICT
THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Map Amendment. Section 102, Zoning Map, of the Vermillion Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended in the manner permitted by Section 610, Zoning Amendments to place the Mining Overlay District.
The property affected by this amendment is legally described as follows:
The Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 15,
Township 114, Range 18, Dakota County, Minnesota
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to law.
Adopted this 24th day of November, 2025 by the Board of Supervisors of Vermillion Township.
